Van Iperen Plants for Plants® 4-Vita is part of the new generation of Plants for Plants® biostimulants based on plant extracts developed for more sustainable agriculture.
In general, biostimulants are considered a means of countering abiotic stresses and boosting the performance of stressed plants. However, few had also targeted oxidative stress, a natural and continuous process in all living organisms that ultimately leads to cell degradation and death.
4-Vita strongly reduces natural oxidative damage to cells, thereby preserving yield potential regardless of growing conditions. In addition, 4-Vita improves the water use efficiency (WUE) of the crop by increasing its tolerance to drought and heat through increased protection of the photosynthetic system. 4-Vita has been developed for all crops, under conditions of both comfort and stress. Applied as foliar at late vegetative stages of the crop cycle, 4-Vita will optimize water supply ensuring better performance throughout the season, allowing for higher yields and crop quality.

Mode of action
Genomic and metabolomic methods have identified a clear mode of action for P4P® 4-Vita. On the one hand, P4P® 4-Vita improves water use efficiency and drought tolerance of the crop by modulating lipid membranes to protect the photosynthetic system in the chloroplast, and on the other hand , we measured significantly less oxidative components damaging cells, allowing the plant to maintain integrity and vitality despite natural oxidative phenomena. The production potential and performance of the plant are preserved.
